Frequently Asked Questions

 Teeth Whitening FAQs

Strips Vs. Professional Whitening

— Whitening strips only whiten the surface stains. Professional laser teeth whitening can whiten 3 layers deep. It opens the pores in the teeth and will whiten more efficiently than over-the-counter strips. Most strips cause more sensitivity & gum irritation than professional-grade gels.

Will it cause sensitivity?

— While rare, laser teeth whitening can cause some sensitivity. This can last 12-24hrs. If you're nervous, take Tylenol before your treatment. Teeth whitening dehydrates the teeth. Drink as much water as possible for the 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. After the appointment, continue to drink room temperature water. If sensitivity occurs, a Remineralizing & Desensitizing gel will be applied to remineralize & rehydrate the teeth.

How much whiter can my teeth get?

— We will whiten 3 layers deep, so you can achieve up to 10 shades whiter. Although, everyone does have a natural stopping point. So keep this in mind. We can't guarantee results, as so many things play into effect when it comes to staining on teeth.

When will I see whitening results?

— Results are immediate! Your teeth will even continue to brighten 24hrs after the treatment.

How long will the results last?

— Average results last 4 to 12 months, depending on enamel formation, oral hygiene, regular dental cleanings, diet, and genetics. It's recommended that all clients get an at-home maintenance kit or touch-up pen to fight stains between whitening appointments. Results can last up to 12 months with a maintenance kit or in-office touch-ups. Touch-up appointments can be made every 3 to 6 months for 30 minutes or an hour every 6 to 12 months.

What if I have a crown, veneers, etc.?

— Yes! Professional laser whitening can remove surface stains from dental work! While it CAN'T lighten more than the original shade, it can remove years of stains! We can color match and make sure everything will blend evenly.

 Eyebrows FAQs

What is microblading?

— Microblading is a procedure categorized under permanent makeup. Unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, it is less invasive and considered semi-permanent. Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type and skincare routine. The procedure uses a hand tool with ultra-fine needles, and each 'hair' is gently etched into the skin, giving an incredibly natural look.

Does Microblading hurt?

— The procedure is generally mild with minimal discomfort, though pain tolerance varies by individual. Initially, you might feel a scratching sensation, but after applying a topical anesthetic and waiting for 20 minutes, discomfort should be significantly reduced for the rest of the session. Post-procedure, expect some redness and mild swelling, similar to a light sunburn. Taking Tylenol is advised for any discomfort, but avoid aspirin or ibuprofen.

How long will my new eyebrows last?

— Microblading lasts 1-3 years, as the pigments aren't as deeply embedded as traditional tattoos, leading to natural fading. Its longevity varies with skin type (normal, oily, dry), age, and skincare habits. For example, tanning and using products with AHA or Glycolic Acid accelerate fading due to quicker skin resurfacing. While pigment retention varies, a touch-up every 12-18 months is recommended for fresh-looking brows. Over time, the microbladed area will fade, though a slight shadow might persist.
